Why do people succeed?

Is it because they’re smart?
Or are they just lucky?
Neither !

In a really interesting TED talk back in 2005, Analyst Richard St. John condenses years of interviews into an unmissable 3-minute presentation on the real secrets of success.

To summarize it simply :

1. Passion   – Do it for love, not money.
2. Work       – Hard work.
3. Be Good  – Get really good at it by practice, practice, practice.
4. Focus       – Focusing yourself to one thing.
5. Push         – Push yourself physically & mentally through shyness/self-doubt/etc…
6. Serve       – Serve something of value, because money follows value.
7. Idea          – Listen, Observe, be Curious, ask Questions, make Connections.
8. Persist     – #1 reason for success! persist thru failure, criticism, rejection, pressure.
